It is National ‘Active School Week’ this week and we are inviting all students and families to take part in ‘Active Home Week’ through our BCS PE Covid Challenges and Active Home Week ideas. On a week which is usually fun filled and action packed in school with sports day, lunch time games, class challenges & much more, the PE department really want you to get moving, get active and have some fun with the BCS PE Covid Challenges. Don’t forget to log your Physical and Mental health challenges for the week & remember enjoying some physical activity for 60 mins a day is vital to staying fit and healthy.
It’s the first week of the new term and the PE department have been busy creating a brand new BCS PE Covid Challenge for students! Remember to log your Physical and Mental health challenges for the week – continue tracking your progress and most importantly take care of yourself both physically and mentally!
As per direction from the Department of Education and Skills, Ballincollig Community School is closed as and from 6pm on Thursday, 12th March until the 29th March 2020.
This means that there will be no access to the school building from the time of the shutdown.
The Microsoft 365 platform will be used by teachers to liaise with pupils. If any students have any difficulty with their Microsoft 365 accounts, including email, please email firstname.lastname@example.org, using a different account, and we will respond.
All students and those doing state examinations in 2020 will have the full support of the school during this time. Students should work through the normal school day and use this valuable time as they would in the classroom. Teachers will continue to work with 3rd, 5th and 6th year students throughout the two weeks.
We wish all our families well – stay safe and stay well.
