Site Map

Transition Year has been part of Ballincollig Community School for 14 years and each year it evolves in new and different ways. TY is compulsory in BCS and currently we have 96 students participating.

Well over two thirds of secondary schools in the country offer TY and the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NCCA) say that TY is intended to allow students time and space to mature and to explore their talents without the pressure of exams.
