The Sound of Music

On the 26th and the 27th of November, B.C.S played host to the musical The Sound of Music. The cast was made up of 4th years attending the school, and a wide range of qualities were needed, such as acting, singing, dancing, camera and lighting skills. With only eight weeks of planning, the cast were under a great deal of pressure. However they produced an outstanding performance. The star of the show was Grace O’Sullivan who played Maria. However such a great show could not have been produced without the efforts of everyone involved. 

U19 B Girls Basketball - Senior Girls County Finals

The U19 B Girls Basketball County finall took place in Littleisland on Tues 9th December were BCS continued their winning streak to become County Champions once more.
This is the teams fourth County title in six years. After winning the All Ireland title last year the school was promoted from C to a B grade basketball school which presented some challenging games this season.
Well done to the team,Captian Aoife Hickey (pictured with coach Emer Gallagher), Megan Cunningham Murphy , Ava O'Leary, Emma Goodwin, Jahna Hilliard, Orla McSweeney, Karen Flavin and Jenny O'Leary.
The girls are now through to the League All Ireland play-offs to take place in Limerick and the All Ireland Cup Semi Finals which will take place on January 9th in Thurles.
